The Museum of the History of Tarnów and the Region presents the past of this city in a modern, multimedia way. Visitors are greeted by an organ-grinder playing a long unheard melody on his instrument. Following the path marked by a perforated tape organ grinder, we get to the next rooms, where the most interesting and valuable objects from the collections of the Tarnów museum are located. Parchment documents of exceptional value await visitors in the "under the eagle" hall, and medieval swords in the armory. Passing through the atmospheric cellars, we will get to the prehistoric times, visit the guild inn, find ourselves on a tram, through the windows of which we will be able to see the former Tarnów, we will also move to the times of World War II and the PRL. On the top floor of the exhibition, buildings characteristic of the city and outstanding figures such as Józef Bem, Piotr Szczepanik, Wincenty Witos and Aniela Piszowa were shown. There are also references to the multi-faith past of Tarnów.
The museum is located in the Market Square in tenement houses No. 20-21.
