Jamna - the Sanctuary and Shepard’s hut

Jamna is an unusual place. Quiet and full of nature. Here you can find two establishments: Shepard’s hut and the Sanctuary of Devine Mother of Unfailing Hope with the Centre of Academic Chaplaincy of Dominicans in Poznań.

Shepard’s hut

Here anyone seeking relief from the city life or a nature-loving wanderer of the Ciężkowicko-Rożanowski Park will feel well. You can get there fresh bread with lard and pickled cucumber. You can also rent a room and relax there alone or with your family.

The Sanctuary of Devine Mother of Unfailing Hope with the Centre of Academic Chaplaincy of Dominicans in Poznań

It’s a place of prayer and reconciliation, a place of finding God and human change. Masses on Sundays at 11 am, gather many people from the neighbouring villages or just mountaineers in their tracker shoes, who want to explore one of the tourist trails, or visitors who simply want to wander through the forest full of berries and mushrooms. After the mass, priest Andrzej invites all to pea soup - best in the whole region, sour soup or grilled sausages.

From Tarnów, you can reach Jamna by car in 40 minutes.
