Tarnów's trail of the mascarons

The Tarnów Mascarons Trail is a tourist attraction intended for both the youngest guests and entire families. Joint fun in finding the next characters combined with visiting attractive locations in the city will ensure time well spent. Fourteen mascarons figurines placed in important places in the city. The 30-centimetre-high figures refer to the Renaissance mascarons decorating the Tarnów Town Hall, which in turn referred to the city councillors of the time.

Among the mascarons you will find:

• Mascarons of the Universe, in front of the Discovery Passage

• Guardian of the Elements, stairs at Hungarian Square (Wałowa Street)

• Guardian of Identity, Spycimir Leliwita Corner (Wałowa Street)

• Inventor, Szczepanik Square

• Theatre Spirit, entrance to the Theatre of Ludwik Solski

• Dream's seller, in front of the Summer Amphitheatre (Kopernik Street)

• Mascaron of young, parklet on Wałowa Street

• Trefniś, Nook of King Władysław Łokietek (Wałowa Street)

• New inhabitant, Sobieskiego Square (near Cafe Tramwaj)

• Absorbed in a book: windowsill of the Scientific Reading Room on Krakowska Street

• Film maker, entrance to the Marzenie cinema (Staszica Street)

• She knows (She who knows everything): by the woonerf (corner of Krakowska Street and Mościckiego Street)

• Clean Water Masscaron, fountain on Bernardyńska Street (Ks. P. Gajda Square)

• Mascarons in love: Bridge of Lovers above Wątok (Przesmyk Street)

The maszkarons are the work of fourteen Tarnów artists.
